Germany's new star-soprano visits the festival for the very first time – and she's bringing a brillant team with her.
When you manage to secure a name like Christiane Karg, who mostly is busy producing high-end albums and performing with the likes of Marek Junowski, Paul McCreesh, Josep Pons and Jonathan Cohen, it's allowed to shout it from the rooftops:
Christiane Karg, the German front-page soprano with the diamont-clear voice, is a catch for CPH Opera Festival! And though she is announced with a Star Recital-concert, she'll be in good company in Børssalen – the illuminating hall of the Royal Exchange: Joseph Middleton, one of the world's most treasured accompanists, will sit at the piano. Right next to the string quartet Schneider & Friends, led by talented Danish violinist Kirstine Schneider. Guten Appetit!
