Nicky Spence is one of the opera world's most exciting tenor voices. He recently debuted the role of Siegmund in Wagner's The Valkyrie and specializes in heroic roles, notably with Strauss, Janáček and Wagner. His magnificent voice and captivating performances have filled the halls of major opera houses in Britain and Europe. The Times newspaper aptly described him as "a tenor who can combine the heroic with a captivating poetic sensibility".

Pianist Dylan Perez is an award-winning accompanist and chamber musician. He specializes in accompanying vocal repertoire and debuted in 2019 with mezzo-soprano Ema Nikolovska in the stronghold of chamber music, Wigmore Hall. He has performed recitals in prominent concert halls in London such as the Barbican, Milton Court Concert Hall, St. Martins-In-The-Fields, Cadogan Hall and the Victoria & Albert Museum. With his vibrant performance, Dylan Perez will help raise the summer evening to Shakespearean heights.

The concert takes place in Copenhagen's historic building Børsen - an iconic piece of Baroque architecture, which was built in William Shakespeare's own time. The festival's opening night thus offers a unique opportunity to experience the masterful art of opera in the perfect setting.
