Experience all facets of the Opera Talent of the Year when Steffen Jespersen curates his own concert in Christians Kirke. He will demonstrate his beautiful vocal register from alto to countertenor and take us on a tour of his multifaceted collaborations with a number of amazing musicians and singers.

Together with musicians from among others the baroque ensemble Camerata Øresund, Steffen Jespersen will perform a richly varied programme of among other Händel arias that emanate love, tragedy and hope - including some rarely performed arias dug out for the occasion. The concert will also feature an a cappella performance by the adult male singers from Roskilde Cathedral's Boys' Choir, where Jespersen had his musical upbringing, as well as Baroque gems by Henry Purcell and some surprises.

Steffen Jespersen made his debut at Copenhagen Opera Festival in 2022 in the newly composed opera 'Lisbon Floor'. His return to the festival marks an emotional tribute to the musicians and singers who have formed him.
