The Danish Military Brass Band and opera expert Henrik Engelbrecht present an atmospheric concert at Kastellet under the summer skies. Get ready for festive music from the most popular operas of the 19th century arranged for the brass ensemble – presented just as it once sounded in Denmark's town squares.

150 years ago, the vast majority of the Danish population experienced opera for the first time with the city's local military band. Some audiences experienced the Royal Danish Theater, while many listened to the famous arias by composers such as Rossini, Verdi and Bizet for the first time without soloists, but from music by trumpets, trombones and horns as solo instruments in the town square on Sundays.

Now, Prinsens Musikkorps and Henrik Engelbrecht are reviving the atmosphere of those days with lots of festive music from the most popular operas of the 19th century.
