The best way to start the day is at the Red Square, surrounded by popular melodies, beautiful phrasing and the smell of freshly brewed coffee. Copenhagen Opera Festival invites you to experience Morning Song hosted by the much-loved Mathias Hammer.

This year, our Morning Song sessions, along with some wonderful guests, will take the early birds on a tour through the festival programme. On Sunday, the audience will set sail with treasured Danish songs, meeting director Simon Duus from this year's Showboat.

On Monday, cellist Tobias van der Pals will join the stage with the theme of the Nordic spirit.

On Tuesday, you can look forward to communal singing, conducted by Anne Marie Granau from our production of Suor Angelica. Together with Mathias Hammer, she has selected a variety of songs with themes about family ties.
