When Corona hit the big pause button of our cultural offerings, it became the mission of Copenhagen Opera Festival not to let 2020 pass by without finding a manner in which to ensure that opera reached the public in its original form; live and in front of an audience.
Today, we are happy to present the first 20 of our 100 Opera Moments for Copenhagen. Our many artists, producers and partners have worked closely together to ensure that from 11AM today, you might be lucky enough to experience opera moments all around Copenhagen.
Where can you find us? Today, you can find us in a private backyard as well as at a garden party. We can also be found in public squares, by a church wall, on the streets and in parks and gardens. You can also find us at a well-known church, a bookstore, by an ice cream parlor, at Dansekapellet, Christiania, at BLOX and at Reffen.
Who can you experience? Today, you can experience opera moments with four fantastic teams, consisting of Helle Gössler and Ulrich Stærk, Patrick Egersborg and Anders Vesterdahl, Jonathan Koppel and Allan Sjølin, Cassandra Lemoine and Jonas Asgeir Asgeirsson.
On Saturday August 22, 100 Opera Moments will cover Amager, Christiania, Christianshavn, Frederiksberg, København K, Nordvest, Nørrebro, Valby, Vesterbro and Vanløse.
